SIMILARITIES
Grind for money, spend money to grind better.
Trivial storyline and otherwise unimaginative NPC interactions.
NPC reactions are linear and boring. Poor use of AI mechanics to imitate real things.
Only in-game skills get better, not real world skills for the most part.
Pretend to be someone/something you're not.
Keep paying for something after you already bought it.
When the game dies, all your time and money spent dies with it.
No goals. Not like you have "virtual offspring" to feed or something.
Game Farmers from 2nd and 3rd world countries sell game money to feed their children.
Consumes your otherwise valuable time.
You could read a book, or post an idea in this thread, brush up on your communication and typing skills. Go fly a kite, I don't know. Anything other than completely wasting your time and money. You see the similarities now, right?

Originally by: Rakor Tang I have played both, Eve first then spent a year on WoW got to lvl 60 on a few characters then came back to Eve i agree there are alot of similarities but the one thing that wins it for me is the Eve 1 universe instead of differant realms. Means more to me knowing my mates can join without worrying if they can join the same realm or if its full an just jump into the same universe as all us Eveites Merry Christmas to you all
Well you certainly can't start as different races, unless you want to spend weeks jumping from server to server to actually find each other. And when you do, now what? Mine for ore? Hunt pirates? Be a pirate? Up to you, but its not really "one server" like everyone thinks it is. Everytime you go through a stargate you could be loading into another server. I'll agree its better than having multiple realms to choose from in the beginning, but what if everyone gets bored enough to meet in the same solar system one day? *cough* I've heard Jita is a good example of how this sort of "one server" idea just doesn't work. I would love to see one giant server with everyone on it rather than many different servers connected together that you just load from one to another.

Also eve is spelt differently
Your name is surprisingly reflective in your content. And you are absolutely right about the spelling issue. I was being rather negative about my similarities, but that's what's the same about the two game, not what is different about them.
